I’ve been talking about Mithraism for a very long time now but I get the feeling a lot of people still don’t take it seriously. Most people in the quote-unquote “Truth” community are almost completely oblivious to Mithraism, having cut their teeth on provably-false conspiracy theories about Lucifer and the Illuminati.
I often wonder if all that material— written almost entirely during the time the Mithraic renaissance was taking root amongst the robber baron class — was all deliberate disinformation seeded to steer attention away from what was really taking shape in plain sight.
