See, I can decode these texts and symbols all night and day but I'm still wracking my brains as to why the stars are so central to it all. I don't buy the usual Astrotheological party line; I think it's facile, lazy and myopic. Something else is going on and has for a very, very long time.
My gut tells me it has to do with ritual and entheogens, and probably other kinds of "tech," as Gordon White calls it. No way in Hell were these ancient cults willing to lose life and limb over a bunch of astronomy lessons. Something shook these people to their core and changed them almost at a subatomic level.
