It's got footnotes and a bibliography if you want to do some further reading, but this will give you a helpful introduction to the topic. It's pretty much a straight-up historical telling on the rise and fall of the Roman sun cults and doesn't stray too far into the speculative and occult realms.
Don't worry, we'll be getting into that stuff in greater depth later.
