Some of us had a get-together at Discord when the first attempt at the Mandy livestream fell through two weeks back. I was talking a bit about Chris Cornell and mentioned how he'd said his depression really kicked in after a bad PCP experience when he was 13. I'd had a bad PCP experience when I was 15, so I can relate.
However, things really kind of went south for me for a while after a bad acid trip landed me in the hospital in 1990. Which was really humiliating, seeing I was 24 at the time. It wasn't Red Miller bad, but it was bad enough to send me into a major depressive tailspin for a few years and launched me straight down into chronic pain/chronic illness hell for many years after that.
