I get it: it's the Internet Age. The supreme law is "Pics or it didn't happen."
So in that light, I have some spirit photography to share with you.
OK, OK, most of these pictures don't depict anything not normally seen in the natural world. But since spirits are by definition non-corporeal, I hope this pictures convey their presence less so than their appearance. They certainly do for me.
It's important to point out that all of these images were taken within a square mile of where I am sitting right now. By day, it's just an ordinary suburban neighborhood. Nothing especially unusual about it.
But as soon as the sun goes down it starts to change. The light gets very strange, and the clouds start to look very odd, nearly composed.
This neighborhood is all converted swampland, and it exerts a liminal energy I haven't quite seen anywhere else.
