PODCAST: Our Favorite Year - 1982 as Peak Cinema

1982 has been popping up in my consciousness lately, so I took a look at the movies released that year and it blew my mind. The number of landmark films has to be unparalleled in history: I can't think of another year with so many important films within it.


I found a list of top films from 1982 and use it as a starting point for a meditation on movies, memory and mortality.

I'm very much looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the matter. The time may come when we will need to act as caretakers for whatever remains of our once vibrant culture and there's no time like the present to get started.
